The St. Thomas University Tommies defeated the University of New Brunswick Saint John Seawolves 3-1 in ACAA women's volleyball action Sunday afternoon on home court.

Left side Deidra Jones of the Tommies led the team in kills, while libero Meagan McCrea-Kozak dug the Seawolves out of trouble with impressive defensive skills.

After a close battle during the first set, the Tommies managed to pull through in the following three sets to take the win—their seventh of the season. Set scores were 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-10.

The Tommies visit Saint John, NB, on Wednesday January 17 where they will once again be up against the Seawolves at UNBSJ. Tipoff is at 6:00pm.
