Mills and Millier Honoured By ACAA

Two members of the women’s volleyball team at St. Thomas University have been named ACAA All-Stars following the league’s awards banquet.

Third year outside hitter Megan Mills (Fredericton, NB) was named a 1st Team All-Star and 3rd year middle Hannah Millier (Fredericton, NB) was named to the 2nd Team.

Mills currently sits second in the ACAA in kills with 214 on the season and leads the conference in digs on the season.

“Megan Mills has been our go-to person all year and she has delivered the majority of the time,” said head coach Don McKay. “In addition she has played a much improved defense for us. She has sacrificed herself to make the dig, sprawling or blocking opponents right side player. Very deserving of this award.”

Not to be outdone, Millier leads the ACAA in service aces, with 53 on the year. She also sits eighth in kills and second in total blocks.

“Hannah Millier is such a powerful hitter and strong server,” said McKay. “She can go on runs that enable us to take or extend leads. She is solid defensively as well and loves to make a good pass as well as a block. Definitely an all-star.”
