Tommies Fall in Five Sets Against UKC
Fredericton, NB - STU Tommies and UKC battled through five sets, with the first seed in the ACAA league securing a narrow victory over the Tommies.
 
STU took an early lead in the first set, Tommies were up 10 points in the set, but UKC clawed back, ultimately clinching it 26-24.
 
STU rallied in the second set, winning 25-22. UKC surged ahead again in the third set, taking it 25-19. STU wasn't ready to concede, winning the fourth set 25-20, setting up a decisive fifth set.
 
Ultimately, the first seed in the league emerged victorious, winning the game at LB Gym 3-2. Maya Lees and Kaitlyn Legault led UKC with 18 and 17 kills, respectively, while Kathleen Boyle contributed 11 kills for STU. Both teams secured playoff berths.
 
UKC will be facing Saint John tomorrow, and STU will host DAL AC, marking Coach Don McKay's final game of the regular season after a remarkable coaching career.
